Nearly all countries now have quarantine regulations for the import of goods to protect indigenous forests against the introduction of wood pests. The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), a subsidiary of the FAO of the UN, has developed uniform import regulations for the international shipment of solid wood packaging: ISPM 15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures).
The IPPC standard guarantees that no living fungi, micro-organisms or insects are exported to foreign countries.
Our pallets are almost all treated in accordance with the IPPC ISPM 15 standard. The treatment is carried out purely thermally without the use of chemicals.
